" The Dealer LOGIX program was presented to me in the month of June. We launched the program in mid July really not knowing what to expect.

 

Our long term goals were to increase our customer pay gross profit by 2% and to raise our customer pay effective labor rate $5.00. After our second full month of utilization, we have increased our customer pay labor gross profit percent 3% and our customer pay effective labor rate is currently up $8.00. We generated just over $40,000 in customer pay labor sales in July and followed that up with $54,000 in August. We feel this is a pretty significant lift month over month on a brand new program.

 

Giving the customer choices of what to do is more proactive than recommending additional services when the customer is in our service department. We have seen fewer complaints about recommending too much and less complaining about price because the customer makes their own choice on what to have performed on their vehicle.

 

The best part of this program, in my opinion, is the quick unit of measure to gauge our return on investment. Before Dealer LOGIX, it was extremely difficult each month to track presentation rates and menu of services sold. Dealer LOGIX solved this problem by providing us with this critical sales information every day in a unique report that allows us to have one on ones with consultants and identify opportunities for improvement on an individual basis.

 

Keep in mind, this is only our third full month using this sales process and by far, I am happy with the short term results.

 

The key to our success has been the training that was provided to our staff. Very professional, the Dealer LOGIX representatives took a lot of time adapting to each of our consultants individual selling styles, and in the end, made it very clear to our staff how to present the customer their service options in a manner that helped our consultants build confidence in their presentation skills.
